A
bulbous plant (Narcissus pseudonarcissus) of the Amaryllis family having showy,
usually yellow flowers with various shaped perianth (petals) and corona (cup) and or
central crown.
Their ease of growing, early flowering, and reliability
make them one of the most popular spring bulbs. Also, because of their poisonous alkaloids
they are seldom troubled by deer or other wildlife.
