Keeping Azaleas healthy
They grow best at a pH between 5.2 and 5.4 but will do ok at pH levels of 5.0
and 6.0. To insure correct pH levels do a soil test
yourself or at a lab.
The best sight for them is under trees that offer filtered shade.
A sign of Magnesium deficiency is yellowish leaves that develop reddish purple
blotches and turn brown at the tips and margins. Be sure to do a soil test before adding
fertilizer the soil pH may be to low!
Azaleas look healthy but will not bloom -- They could be in a area that gets to
much shade.
