There are few plants that grow as rapidly as cosmos and, fewer still, offer such graceful flowers. Useful in any garden, these carefree, airy plants add lightness and color to borders and wildflower plantings. Feathery foliage are topped with good-sized, daisy like flowers. Sow seeds in a sunny area after all danger of frost is past. Seed may be started indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost. Lightly cover seed and keep evenly moist. Plants flower earlier and more freely if soil is fairly dry and not particularly fertile. Plants may require staking.
